Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of MoodSpec (“the Service”) at moodspec.net. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service. Questions can be sent to hello@moodspec.net.

2. The Service

MoodSpec is a workspace for planning events — briefs, AI-assisted plan generation, mood boards, floor plans, budgets, timelines, tasks, and guest lists. Some features use AI (including OpenAI’s models) to generate a first draft you review and edit.

3. AI-generated content

Event plans, budget splits, timelines, tasks, and images produced by MoodSpec’s AI features are starting points, not guarantees or professional advice. You’re responsible for reviewing, verifying, and adjusting anything AI-generated before relying on it — budget figures, vendor timings, capacity numbers, and similar details should be confirmed against your actual venue, vendors, and contracts before you rely on them for a real event.

4. Accounts

You need an account to use MoodSpec. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Plans and billing

MoodSpec offers a Free plan with limited AI usage and project count, and a paid Pro subscription billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You can cancel anytime from your account settings; your subscription remains active until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for, and we don’t automatically issue refunds for partial periods. If something’s gone wrong with a charge, email us and we’ll sort it out.

6. Your content

You own the content you put into MoodSpec — briefs, uploaded files, guest lists, and everything you create or edit. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service to you (including sending relevant parts to our AI provider when you request a generation).

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use MoodSpec for anything illegal, or to generate content that’s unlawful, harassing, or infringes someone else’s rights.
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, security controls, or reverse-engineer the Service.
• Use automated means to scrape or abuse the Service or its AI features.
• Share your account with people it wasn’t issued to, or resell access to the Service.

8. Intellectual property

MoodSpec’s software, design, and branding are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms don’t grant you any rights to them beyond using the Service as intended.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is.” We work to keep it reliable, but we don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, MoodSpec isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including decisions made based on AI-generated content.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms as MoodSpec evolves. We’ll update the date at the top of this page when we do; continued use after a change means you accept the update.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany.
